To lose one's self

This last Thursday I was riding my Hurricane Harry’s beat. It was about 1:00am so it was pretty slow, usually I’m at Northgate bar hopping people. Anyway, I’m chatting with some guys hanging out in front of Harry’s when this girl flags me down…she was desperate. She gives me a $10 and asks to take her to V-Bar, she had lost her ID, credit card, and phone. I’m never thrilled about Harry’s to Northgate runs; from St. Mary’s to Northgate its all uphill on Church St., not noticeable in a car, but exponentially harder for each person in my rickshaw. Oh well, I think, its just one person and it’s slow, and it’s a $10. This girl is 2 steps from tears and tells me her sob story the whole time I’m puffing up the ‘Churchhill’. It seems another EZ Rider dropped her off at Harry’s. We get to the V-Bar, I waited for her and she comes out empty handed. We start our way back to Harry’s and we keep on the look out for her stuff that she dropped. Then I see it half way back, it’s a credit card facedown, and its hers! Eagle eyes. We continue to Harry’s and I just happen to choose the correct path through the parking lot cause there it is… a phone…I miss hitting it with my cart by ½ an inch (phone + 200 lb cart = Irony) Lets just say she’s super happy and offers to give me more money if she had it and make out with me ;) No, I did’t make out with her but hey I could have.

The Blog Begins....

My name is Bobby and I'm a bicycle Taxi here at College Station, Tx, riding for the Aggie owned and operated EZ Rider Pedicabs.. If you’re a student you’ve probably seen me or one of my fellows biking our legs off at Northgate Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night. Well you can imagine, biking drunk people around, I get to experience drunken conversation, drunk acts, and best of all drunken tips. But it’s more about the money…usually. Many of my stories are just too good not to share, so I have started this blog to tell them.
